2.4.      Retention periods

 

In general terms, the User's personal data will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this document or for as long as the User has not requested its deletion or cessation of use.

 

The Law Firm may retain the personal data collected up to 3 years after the User has logged off or after the last meaningful contact took place between the Law Firm and the User.

 

The Law Firm will retain the User's personal data that it processes via cookies for the entire duration that the Website or future versions of it that use the same personal data are online. The retention period of personal data processed through third-party cookies is determined by the Privacy Policy of the cookies concerned.

The User indemnifies the Law Firm against all costs, expenses (including legal costs), indemnifications, losses (including loss of business or profit), debts, demands, claims, proceedings, court proceedings, etc. of which the Law Firm might be the subject because of: (i) the Law Firm's performance of the Client's instructions in connection with the processing of personal data (including instructions in connection with requests from persons exercising their rights under data protection legislation and instructions to retain, disclose, modify or otherwise process personal data), or (ii) any breach by the User of these terms and conditions.

 

The Law Firm's liability is always limited to the cases specifically provided for in the legislation. The Law Firm is only liable for the damage caused by the processing if the obligations in the relevant legislation specifically addressed to processors are not complied with during the processing or if actions are carried out outside or contrary to the legitimate instructions of the controller. In all cases, the Law Firm's liability is always limited to direct damages and in case of gross negligence or fraud. The User indemnifies the Law Firm at all times against all claims of third parties.
